Health Issues

Updated: Nov 13, 2020

The Department of Health in Australia has adopted a range of measures to combat the spread of Covid-19. This includes the temporary closure of non-essential activities and businesses and advice to practice social distancing. You should comply with all advice.

The Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement between Ireland and Australia covers Irish visa holders for medically necessary treatment. You should also check your travel insurance.

The Government’s digital mental health portal, Head to Health, will be a single source of authoritative information and guidance on how to maintain good mental health during the coronavirus pandemic and in self-isolation, how to support children and loved ones, and how to access further mental health services and care.

Visit Victoria Government - Coronavirus (COVID-19) for advice and information for community and businesses, including information about COVID-19 symptoms, testing and social distancing.
