The Home From Home Group is important to both the well-being of newly arrived immigrants to Australia and to the future of the Bureau itself. The group was formed in 2010 in response to the needs of Irish parents in Australia. Groups are held on Fridays from 11am and there is a sense of magic in the air where children and their parents gather to strengthen family ties and links within the Irish community.
The Brian Boru room upstairs at the Bureau has been transformed into a room where children play and the adults catch on all the news over a cuppa.
The group has regular catch ups outside of the Bureau usually at weekends so that the whole family can attend.
Pop in on a Friday for a coffee and a natter or visit the groups Facebook page (Closed Group send request to be accepted) for upcoming activities and information.
